This is a defense to where a person has placed the barrel of a gun in your ribs.

Defensive Tactics for EMS Instructor Course at Branson Fire Station #1

An intense 40 hour train-the-trainer course. This course will prepare the qualified participant to return to their agency and train staff in the system of DT4EMS. The only course specifically designed for EMS providers, by EMS providers.
Great post! It seems I still need practice to write as fluently as you! I think Doc and I were the lucky ones. The folks we met from Tangent Edge were a class act. We had an absolute blast and it was due in large part to you guys.

How safe is your scene?
These are just a few reports from the news. At what point did these EMS providers have an opportunity to check for scene safety?
With the NAEMT releasing a study of 52% of injuries in EMS coming from assault…… it’s obvious EMS providers are assaulted on scenes they thought were safe. According to Dr. Brian McGuire EMS providers are 30 times more likely to be injured on the job from ASSAULTS than most other proffesions.
