Individual first aid kits-IFAK or blow out bags

Here's a list for your IFAKS/blow out kits

Individual operators- non-medic:

Bandage: Olaes modular or Israeli either are $10 or less
hemostatic agent: Cost effective $30 or less: Celox or Quick clot . Hemcon if you have the money
hemostatic gauze: ActCel $15 or less. This gauze is in addition to the hemostatic granules stated above.
tourniquet: Heavy duty: CAT or MAT Cost effective tourniquets $10 or less: SWAT Tourniquet or H&H Tourni-Kwik
chest seal: Asherman or AED defib pads minus the electrical attachments or Bio-gel (explosive adhesive)
Nasopharyngeal
Safety Pin
Triangular bandage in plastic wrapper
pill pack includes: tylenol and broad spectrum anti-biotic approved by medical director
14 guage needle

Medic IFAK carries same as above but adds the following items:

Hemostatic Clamp
Benchmade rescue hook
Adson Forseps
Strait mayo scissors
Ammonia inhalant
Burn Gel
Eye drops
Ibuprofen
Super Glue (preferably non-toxic)
Sharpie
Teeny Tiny Cyalume Chem light or LED marker lights (home depot) colors: green and red – marking and triage, can be carried separate of IFAK
1” Tape

Met left out hydration salts that can be carried in the operator's and medic's IFAK for dehydration or burns. 2% decrease in water leads to 20% decrease in mental functionality and motor neuro response.
